OUR LEADERSHIP

Don Brown
Chief Operating Officer
Don Brown oversees a large portion of the daily operations of New City Property Management, supervising a staff comprised of numerous property managers, leasing agents and maintenance team members.
Mr. Brown spent just over two decades as an options trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he would meet and begin a long friendship with Jimmy Oppenheimer. The two frequently talked about their mutual desire to enter the world of real estate, tapping into their trading experience with technology, risk management and market experience.
This friendship blossomed into an actual business partnership with the formation of New City Property Management with Mr. Oppenheimer overseeing acquisitions, business development and finance, while Mr. Brown handles responsibilities for staff management, unit turnover, construction, and compliance.
In addition to his role overseeing the daily operations of New City, Mr. Brown directly interfaces with a variety of vendors to address inspections, violations, and other crucial areas to consistently ensure all assets meet the standards of Chicago’s Codes and regulations.
Mr. Brown is a graduate of DePaul University.
